雷德祖

雷德祖，1942年生于广西南宁。画家。1966年毕业于广西艺术学院。中国美术家协会会员，广西美术家协会副主席，中国连环画研究会常务理事，全国连环画艺委会评委，全国第四、第五次文代会代表。曾任《广西文艺》《广西美术》《美术界》副主编、主编。美术界有“南顾北刘”“南雷北燕”之称。出版连环画达100多套逾万幅，插图数千幅。作品多次获奖。曾连续三年被评为全国十佳连环画家。
雷德祖，1959年考入广西艺术学院附中。1962年升入该院美术系版画专业，1966年毕业。从1968年至1970年在部队锻炼期间，曾以“井建军”的笔名在《战士报》《解放军报》《广西日报》发表速写、宣传画、连环画等作品。1971年调任《广西文艺》任美术编辑。1980年以来，历任《广西美术》编辑、副主编、主编，《美术界》副主编等职务。系中国美术家协会会员，广西美术家协会副主席、中国连环画研究会常务理事、全国连环画艺委会评委、全国第四、第五次文代会代表。 1991年7月22日，雷德祖因长年呕心沥血地搞美术创作，积劳成疾病逝，年仅49岁。连环画作品《邓小平传奇》是雷德祖忍受病魔折磨创作的最后艺术篇章。雷德祖的艺术实践涉猎油画、版画、宣传画、中国画、连环画和插图作品。一生所创作的连环画达100多套逾万幅之多，插图数千幅。雷德祖为了艺术苦苦追求了一生，留下了大量有价值的艺术作品。
