方小石

方小石美术作品

方小石，1911年出生于贵阳，早年毕业于国立艺专，20世纪50年代在贵州从事美术编辑工作，60年代在贵州大学艺术系从事美术教育工作，1971年，六十岁的方先生退休回家，终于有机会成为一位自由自在的专业画家，1995年6月方小石花鸟画展在北京中国美术馆开幕，方先生的绘画作品受到了首都观众的喜爱，受到了中国美术界专家学者的高度评价。方小石先生因病医治无效，于2012年5月25日23时47分在贵阳逝世，享年102岁。著有《花鸟》、《木香桃花雀》。出版有《方小石画辑》等。
方小石从事美术教学、美术创作数十年，收获很多，声名藉盛，誉为新中国成立后早期艺术教育创业者之一，对贵州中国画的学科建设作出贡献。享受国务院专家特殊贡献津贴，贵州师范大学艺术系名誉教授，中国美术家协会会员，贵州国画院名誉院长、贵州省美协名誉主席。贵州国际艺术交流中心理事，与你同行的东方之子。曾为贵州省人大大代表，贵州省政协委员。
