萧继石

萧继石，画家，中国美术家协会会员，曾用名肖继石、肖继时，1952年生于湖北洪湖。1986年毕业于华中科技大学，1997年获华中师范大学硕士学位，曾受教于王受之、白统绪、姚治华。1984年开始绘画创作。作品多次在国内外展览获奖，以画老武汉民俗著名，为第一位系统画老武汉民俗风情画的人，再现了旧时老武汉的老字号，老小吃、老民俗、老游戏等情景，出版著作《老武汉风情》。受聘于湖北书画研究院、子恺画院画家。中南财经政法大学客座教授。

创作经历
1983年创作连环画《郑板桥巧戏财主》发表
1984年与白统绪合作作品《鱼》入选6届全国美展。
1984年，木刻《水乡初晨》入选湖北省版画展。
1984年，水粉组画《铅笔小史》入选湖北省科普画展获铜奖。
1990，1991年作品两度入选法国沙龙展优秀作品。
1992，连环画《安徒生童话》由湖北少儿出版社出版
2005年作品《老武汉风情书画3屏》获中国书法家协会国家审计署展览金奖
2005年漫画<连战省亲》获全国新闻漫画复评银奖。
2008年2月，萧继石《老武汉风情》画展在武汉博物馆展出，方成为画展作序并题写展名。观者如潮，广受好评。新华社当日发表长篇通讯《110幅画作，唤起一座城城市的记忆》报道展览。
2009年出版绘著《老武汉风情》
2011年为教育家陈鹤琴著作《家庭教育》创作绘画，2012年1月，《家庭教育》绘本出版。
2012年3月，应中国青年出版社、北京航空航天艺术馆之邀，在航天艺术馆举办《爱的熏染》个人画展。
2012年作品《无题》子恺杯全国漫画大赛优秀奖。
2012年艺术随笔集《淋湿的幽默》出版
2013年作品<偷猎》获第三届中国桐乡廉政漫画大赛优秀奖
2014年，作品《快乐童年》、《和风》入选中国水墨漫画名家邀请展。
其作品为湖北省博物馆、子恺画院、中国审计博物馆、湖北图书馆、武汉美术馆等机构收藏。
