王临乙

王临乙，上海人。擅长雕塑、美术教育。曾在南京中央大学艺术系学习，1929年赴法国里昂美术学校，毕业后转巴黎国立高等美术学院雕塑家Bauchard工作室学习。曾任教于重庆国立艺专、北平国立艺专，皆为教授兼雕塑系主任。1949年后任中央美术学院雕塑系教授、教研室主任，并为中央美术学院雕塑创作室及北京建筑雕塑工厂两单位的顾问、指导。作品有《孙中山纪念碑设计》、《大禹浮雕》、《民族大团结浮雕群像》、天安门人民英雄纪念碑浮雕《五卅运动》等。
