王中作品

1963年1月生于北京。中央美术学院雕塑系讲师。现任中央美术学院城市设计学院副院长！1981年毕业于北京工艺美术学校。1981-83年于北京工艺美术研究所从事木雕创作，1983年入中央美术学院雕塑系学习。
人物履历
1985年《人是机器》参加北京青年美展（北京中国美术馆）。
1988年毕业于中央美术学院雕塑系，获硕士学位，展览毕业创作《海》、《生命三步曲》等；进入北京建筑艺术雕塑厂雕塑研究室从事雕塑创作。
1989年《假面舞会》参加第7届全国美术作品展览（北京中国美术馆）；创作《纽带》系列作品；调入中央美术学院雕塑艺术研究所从事雕塑创作。
1990年参加中央美术学院教师作品展（中央美术学院画廊）；参加奥林匹克中心主雕方案征集，获优秀作品奖；调入中央美术学院雕塑系教学，被聘为助教；为北京香山植物园创作《花魂》；移居北京朝阳门附近四合院，体会老北京人的生存空间。
1991年创作《老北京系列》作品；为北京红领巾公园创作锻铜浮雕《红领巾之歌》。
1992年参加“二十世纪·中国”美展（北京中国美术馆）；参加当代青年雕塑家邀请展（杭州）；为北京邮电学院图书馆创作《速律》。
1993年参加第3届中国体育美展获银奖，作品被中国奥委会收藏；《老北京系列》之一参加海峡两岸雕塑艺术交流展（台湾高雄北京炎黄艺术馆）；被聘为中央美术学院讲师。
1994年参加第8届全国美术作品展览（北京中国美术馆）；参加第2届全国城市雕塑优秀作品展，获优秀作品奖；完成大型金属雕塑《扬帆》；由于拆迁搬出北京朝阳门居所。
1995年进行《拆迁计划》系列作品创作；结业于俄国著名雕塑家库巴索夫主持的中国城市雕塑高级研究班；结业于中央美术学院在职研究生班。
1996年参加北京春季沙龙美展（北京音乐厅画廊）；参加第4届艺术文献展—雕塑与当代文化（四川成都）；参加中央美术学院雕塑系教师作品展（北京通道画廊）；应日本国际友好文化交流协会邀请，赴日本文化交流并创作大型壁画《潮》，感受日本社会状态，受日本“人与自然”生存、居住理念影响，重新了解中国古代道家思想；进行中国人民抗日战争群雕的创作，研究民间雕刻，认识民间文化的现代精神。
1997年参加中国艺术大展（北京中国美术馆）；参加国际雕塑创作营，完成《拆迁计划—’97》（中国桂林）；出版《王中雕塑作品选》；《假面舞会》被澳大利亚收藏家收藏；完成大型金属公共艺术《玄鸟》；完成常熟雕塑公园作品《风翼》；围绕当代文化背景下人类的创造力及由此造成的人性脆弱、东西对撞、道家的宇宙观等人类精神性的主题进行创作。
1998年应海峡两岸文化交流促进会之邀，赴台湾参加“大陆杰出青年雕塑家之旅”活动，并完成展示作品《生命？》；参加十月青年雕塑家联展（北京中央美院画廊》；参加六人雕塑展（北京美苑美术馆）；参加第1届当代雕塑艺术年度展（深圳何香凝美术馆）；参加“雕塑·现实”作品展（北京中央美院美术馆）；进行将不锈钢与锻铜用镙栓连接的作品创作，试图通过多种途径解释人类的终极关怀。完成作品《躯壳》、《人体数据》、《樊笼》、《再造天性》、《大十字1999》、《遗物19901-19999》、《自由空间》等系列作品。
2007年主编中央美术学院规划教材——《公共艺术概论》由北京大学出版社出版。
