杨永青

杨永青美术作品

杨永青（1928—2011）上海市浦东新区川沙镇人，擅长版画、中国画、图书插图。先后历任华东青年、中国青年、中国少年儿童出版社美术编辑、编审，发表版画百余幅，作品被中国美术馆等多家收藏。曾获全国少年儿童图书评奖美术一等奖、国际安徒生奖提名及中国出版署多种荣誉奖，获国务院妇女儿童协调委员会有突出贡献的儿童工作者、关心下一代工作委员会先进个人及中国版画家协会“鲁迅奖章”等荣誉称号。
自幼丧母，家境贫寒，父亲在上海替人做杂工。他艰辛地读完小学，就到上海一间木匠行当学徒。15岁时，师从上海著名人物画家谢闲鸥先生。17岁时，他的国画被收入《长虹画社画扇集》。因为画画得好，他当了小学教师，成为乡村知识分子。后参加新民主主义青年团，用画笔投入土改，配合当时的乡村运动，画了不少“革命”连环画。1949年以后，他的连环画开始在上海的报刊发表，他也被华东青年出版社调去当美术编辑。
1952年“抗美援朝”，杨永青将他画连环画《女拖拉机手》所得200元稿酬的一半献出来，支援国家购买飞机大炮。当时是供给制，每月津贴只有15元，200元可是一笔巨款。其余100元，他送给了含辛茹苦培养他的父亲，而他的父亲也用其中的大半接济了乡亲。不久之后他调到北京，在中国青年出版社、中国少年儿童出版社当美术编辑。那是革命题材连环画出版的鼎盛时期，杨永青领受任务，画了大量的小英雄――《刘文学》、《刘胡兰》、《王二小》、《高玉宝》
1955年，杨永青画了一幅革命题材的画，有人硬说，画上一个反面人物画得像毛主席。被戴上“现行反革命”的大帽子。后得胡耀邦担保，境遇有所改善。文革后，因多年不画，开始画《红娘子》练手，后于1979年出版。退休以后，创作了大量的观音画。2011年6月15日在北京医院因心肌梗塞逝世，享年84岁。
杨永青专长传统人物画线描，代表作有《屈原九歌长卷》、《观音造像》等。共创造杨永青画作(17张)儿童图书220余册及大量的插图，20余种儿童画册以多种文字在海外出版发行，《高小毕业生》、《前哨》等作品收入《中国新兴版画五十年选集》等多种大型画册。
