周炼霞美术作品

周炼霞，字紫宜，号螺川，书斋名“螺川诗屋”，1908年生于湖南湘潭，14岁始学画，先后师从尹和白鹤郑凝德，17岁起学诗，师从朱古微，后又从蒋梅笙学词。周炼霞的画风格清新，设色明净，诗词多佳句，著有《嘤鸣诗集》、《学诗浅说》（与瞿蜕园合作）等。她的画风和诗风气息相通，若与她本人相比，则有“画如其人”和“文如其人”之感。
周炼霞品貌双全，高雅风致，人称“金闺国士”。昔年上海名医卢施福为她摄影一帧，年约二十，布景为一窗口薄纱，她隐身于纱后，微露半脸，人皆赞叹“美而艳”。复旦大学教授、著名掌故专家郑逸梅说她体态清丽婉转，如流风回雪，是女画家中的美人，“本身就是一幅仕女图”。直到古稀之年，仍然风韵犹存。有人记叙在周炼霞年近古稀时去拜访她，见她举手投足，一颦一笑，仍如花季少女，且不失大家风范，毫无做作之态，倾慕不已。复旦大学著名教授苏渊雷当年是周炼霞的众多仰慕者之一，对已入迟暮之年的周炼霞仍盛赞“七十犹倾城”。
周炼霞凭借着她的美丽容貌和聪明才智，将机敏、诙谐、洒脱巧妙地结合在一起，构成了她色彩绚丽的品性人格，活跃于上海文化艺术界而为人称道。有人称周炼霞、吴青霞、陆小曼为上海三大美女，周炼霞的高贵优雅，吴青霞的娟秀清丽，陆小曼的蕴籍风流，名闻遐迩。有人见过周炼霞，看过她的书画诗词，惊叹为“天人”。
周炼霞生性机敏诙谐，幽默风趣，在上海诗词书画界是很有名的。有一天，北京画家周怀民到上海，吴青霞特在家中设宴招待，邀请唐云、江寒汀、陈巨来、周炼霞作陪。席间，陈巨来请江寒汀作一扇面，内容为梁祝化蝶，又请唐云补草，周炼霞补花。当时，正当盛夏，为防汗渍，周炼霞补花时从怀里抽出一块大手帕盖在扇面的另一半上。唐云见了，便戏谑道：“这手帕这么大，是男人手帕么？”周氏笑答：“是的。”唐云强夺了去，说：“归我吧！”周氏不动声色道：“拿去不妨。”接着又说：“你拿的是我儿子揩鼻涕用的手帕。”满座倾倒，唐云只好笑着把手帕还给她。又有一次，周炼霞到吴青霞家中闲坐。吴青霞篆香阁中有一巨案，长寻丈，阔三尺许，乃独杏木制成，购自吴中。吴青霞说这是为彭玉麟绘梅花而特制的。周炼霞闻之，笑对青霞说：“原来是‘彭公案’。”其机敏诙谐如此。
上海孤岛时期，周炼霞孤身一人，周旋于书画诗艺界，与众多文人墨客交往，左右逢源，应对自如，又生性洒脱，不拘小节，引得多方人士追捧，许多小报记者如蜂逐野花般打听采访，几乎每天都有五六家小报刊登其所谓艳闻轶事，一时艳称之为“炼师娘”。面对这些，她不置一词，一笑了之。
